Autumn Glencoe Wedding | Jez & Alex

Jez & Alex were married in Glencoe in some of the wildest weather I’ve shot a wedding in. After getting ready at the Kingshouse Hotel, they took on the sideways rain alongside their handful of guests, with smiles and laughter (and a few inside-out umbrellas). It is Scotland after all, and the weather shouldn’t be a reason not to have the best day ever.

After their ceremony in the rain, we found a sheltered spot amongst the woodland for Jez & Alex to enjoy some slower, quiet time with just the two of them. They had prepared letters to read to each other at some point during the day, and being alone amongst the trees felt like the right moment. I always like to remind couples that there are no rules to follow on their wedding day – if you feel happiest reading your vows to each other outside of the official ceremony, you are free to do whatever feels right for you.
