Winter in the Italian Dolomites
I could feel my chest tighten as we drove along the road into Cortina d’Ampezzo – not from fear but from the sheer scale of the mountains around us, making me realise how small we really are in the grand scheme of things. From the little things like enjoying a picnic in a fresh dusting of now, to standing on the highest point of the Dolomites at around 11,000ft, our time in the Dolomites was truly something special.
