Autumn Torridon Wedding
Samantha & Ben’s Torridon Wedding was held on the shores of Loch Torridon. They exchanged vows by the water, surrounded by wild and rugged scenery, with my partner and myself as their witnesses. One of my favourite moments was seeing the sun burst through the clouds just as they began to say their vows.
The landscape in Scotland takes on a radiant golden hue in Autumn, and the colours are particularly vibrant around Torridon. The weather in Scotland constantly changes, and when the inevitable rain closed in, Samantha and Ben embraced the change with a smile and a laugh. It was the rain that produced some of my favourite images of the day, as you will see in the final few photos of this post.
I photographed one of my very first weddings in Scotland in Torridon, and it has been one of my favourite locations to visit ever since. It has so much incredible scenery to explore, with the added bonus of fewer tourists and people around. I recommend taking some time to visit Applecross and driving across the famous Bealach na Ba pass. Torridon and the surrounding areas really are a hidden gem and a unique place to elope.
If you’re thinking of eloping in Scotland, I recommend taking a look through my guide with tips and location ideas. If you’re spending some time in Torridon, I also highly recommend booking a meal at the Torridon Hotel.
