From Maiden to Mother

“Becoming pregnant has been one of the greatest life transformations I’ve ever experienced. With immense struggles and challenges followed by greater joy and love than I’ve ever known.

I haven’t had a lot of moments during this pregnancy to just honour and connect to what this experience holds and the journey towards motherhood. But getting to do this maternity shoot with Lina was a particularly special way of commemorating this process and welcoming my baby into this world very soon.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember or see the beauty and strength that comes with being pregnant. But through these photos, I felt I’ve gotten to see myself in a way I’d forgotten but also in a new light of the woman I’m becoming. I will treasure these images and experience of my maternity shoot for the rest of my life. Thank you Lina for making me feel so comfortable and at ease during the shoot and for guiding me to reconnect with myself and my baby in such a special way.”
