Achmelvich Beach & Assynt Elopement

In Scotland, you can get married almost anywhere your heart desires, so Aurel & Alis chose Achmelvich beach in the northwest of Scotland. The main beach is famous for its white sands and turquoise water, and if you’re up for a bit of a walk, you’ll find a few hidden beaches nearby that are quieter and just as beautiful. The ideal spot for a seaside ceremony. Their ceremony was led by Neil Lynch humanist celebrant, and afterwards, we explored the breathtaking locations around Assynt.

One of the final images I took at Alis & Aurel’s elopement was at a hidden waterfall, and I wanted it to depict how the end of an elopement feels. Your shoes are covered in mud, you have climbed over fences and scrambled over rocks. It is the end of the day, and your feet may be tired, but you’re high on happiness. You completely forget what is happening around you. At this moment, it is just the two of you, and nothing else matters.
